Date: 07-21-2021
Time: 11:30 AM – 12:15 PM CT

Electric vehicles and EV supply infrastructure are a fast-growing part of the utility DER mix, and recently the car manufacturers (OEMs) themselves have stepped up to be a major player. This panel will highlight some early partnerships between utilities and Ford Motor Company, which is one of a group of OEMs supporting a standards-based approach. The panelists will present a path forward for scalable integration of multiple different OEMs into the utility grid, leveraging the EPRI-led Open Vehicle Grid Integration Platform (OVGIP), which includes the OpenADR protocols for automating distributed energy resource integration into the grid.

    Presented by:

Dave Hurst, Manager, Energy Services at Ford Motor Company OVGIP Standards-Based Architecture
Erin Lawrence, Vehicle Grid Integration at GM Energy
Philip Tucker, Demand Management Program Manager at Xcel Energy
Rolf Bienert, Managing Director at OpenADR Alliance
Ryan Dekimpe, Marketing Analyst at DTE Energy OEM Perspective
